Amazing stay in Tahoe
Left on Nov 28, 2016 for a stay in Nov 2016
Me and my husband traveled with our one year old. Everything about this place was just perfect for what we needed. Spacious, well stocked kitchen. Everything clean and well maintained, hot tub just a few steps from the living room door. And the caretakers were super nice :) There are trails starting right at the house which was very convenient when we were snowed in on one of the days and couldn't drive far. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommending this place to others.
Owner Response: "Hi Sunanda, Thank you for the kind words and we enjoyed having you and look forward to having you & family again. Next time we'll draw a map of our secret trails and great places to watch the sunset."
Amazing, peaceful, home away from home!

This was my first time staying here and it was perfect! I surprised my girlfriend for her birthday with this special cabin. It was exactly as advertised if not better than advertised! It is close to everything, walking is especially easy with no big hills. We had great weather, sunny day first day then snowy two days after that. This place has great big windows to watch the snow fall. The fireplace and hot tub were both great and really made the trip relaxing. Steve the caretaker is great and very nice and answered all my questions prior to booking and even shoveled the snow in the driveway and deck while we were gone. The place was very clean and the kitchen had everything you would need to cook with and was well stocked with spices and dishes. We couldn't have been happier. Thank you Steve and Angel for all your hard work and making this place so special and affordable. We can't wait to come back!
Owner Response: "We are delighted you enjoyed yourselves and look forward to having you visit us again soon. Thank you for taking the time to write this review as it helps us to stay on track and for possible future guests to feel comfortable staying here. Best wishes!!"

Loved our stay...the loft worked out great for the grandkids. Kitchen stocked with everything you need. Will stay here again.
Owner Response: "It was great having your family here and seemed like you had some really fun beach days. We look forward to seeing you again!"
Great Stay at Tahoe Left on Jul 15, 2016 for a stay in Jul 2016I liked the balcony with a somewhat private location yet only blocks from Raleys, Heavenly and other places. It was quiet and peaceful - definitely something worthwhile when at a beautiful place like Tahoe.
Owner Response: "Hi Tom, Thanks for taking the time to share some nice words about the cabin. We'll be doing some additional upgrades this Fall and maybe by next summer the new bike trial they are building from Meyers to Stateline will be finished that will pass by down the street from the cabin. Hope to see you again soon! Angel & Steve"
Everything was as advertised and better!

Our stay was an ideal time and place for us. Close to everything, but removed from all the activities of the main road. The place suited our needs completely. We had one minor problem - a light switch. Steve replaced it the next day and even added a new shower head. He was great to visit with, too. We had a full, yet restful week. We would definitely return to this rental again.
Owner Response: "Thank you John! It was delight to have you stay and hope to see you both again soon!"
Nice and quiet!

This is the first time when we decided to rent a house in Tahoe and we weren't disappointed at all. We had an amazing stay. It was very quite and warm. We went there two young families: 4 adults and 3 little kids and we fit in perfectly. It was very clean, great kitchen and a well-working BBQ outside :) The caretakers downstairs were friendly. Overall, great house and great hospitality! I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
Beautiful home with all amenities and wonderful setting.

My husband and I visited Tahoe for 4 nights with our kids. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, comfortable home close by to the town and markets. I was amazed how well stocked everything was, from the kitchen to the bathrooms and the bedrooms. Everything one needed was in the home. Fantastic fire stove, great kitchen, and such a great loft for the kids which made it very private for my husband & myself. I would highly recommend this lovely home and will definitely revisit again. Plenty snow and a great clean jacuzzi tub. Very well maintained. Thanks so much for the hospitality.

This is the second time we have rented this property. Owner made upgrades between our visits and the chalet looks great. The chalet offers mountain landscape views and mountain trails are just steps away. The chalet is minutes to the tourist activities in South Lake Tahoe. We highly recommend this property and plan to visit again in the future.
Owner Response: Welcome Back! We try to make upgrades each season so we can't wait for you to come back again!
Easy going and quiet

We really enjoyed our time at your cabin! Location is good, you could walk to town but we chose to drive. Cabin is well stocked. We didn't need a thing. Communication with the owner we fast and easy. Care takers are right below you but we never heard them or seen them. This isn't a fancy place but its clean and quiet. I intend to go back next year or maybe for the holidays. Hot Tube was great, looking at the stars and sipping on a cold one!!
Nice property, poor management

We emailed the owners, concerned that it appeared that our reservation did not appear on Tripadvisor even though we were charged for the rental. The owners reassured me that everything was fine and that we had the property reserved in their system. I also emailed about other logistical questions (check in time, check out time, etc) because we could not find them anywhere on the Tripadvisor website and wanted to plan our trip. Two days before our reservation, we received more logistical information about the keys and where to park. I was a bit suspicious at this point because of the lack of information we would have received if I had not contacted the owners with my questions. We arrived after the standard check in time on the first day of our reservation. My worst fear was confirmed and as we entered the rental ready to relax after a long drive, the caretaker comes up to us seemingly very confused. He had no idea that we would be staying the weekend. We were forced to leave and come back two hours later after the property was hurriedly readied. One of our friends drove a total of 8 hours to be with us. Another one of us was sick. We were all in the car for several hours. All we wanted to do was relax and enjoy our vacation. We wanted the cleaning to be done though, so we left. We went to Safeway to pick up some things. Then it started snowing really hard. We drove around a little and ultimately waited in the car for 1.5 hours just longing to relax in our vacation rental. This was not a great way to start our vacation. When I emailed the owners about this. They offered us extended check out time (which was already offered to us before all of this happened). We negotiated and eventually they offered us $17 for our troubles after asking repeatedly for some money back since we paid a total of $473 for two nights and we had felt really inconvenienced. We don't make a lot of money and we saved up/took time off for this trip and we felt like this rental wasn't worth the trouble and our money at all. We really felt for the owners since they seemed to be on some kind of foreign medical leave. But we also really felt that the whole ordeal and property was unprofessionally managed. Other than that, the caretaker was great. He apologized to use profusely and got our rental ready in in record time. We helped start our fire too. The property is well stocked with kitchen items. The beds hurt our backs. Some of us opted to sleep on the couches rather than the beds since the couches were softer. Compared to the other reviews for this property, it seems like this was a fluke incident. We really wanted to like this place, but in reality, we wouldn't bother renting from these owners again. There are a lot of other better managed properties at comparable prices.
Owner Response: "Sometimes no matter what one does some people will not be happy & perhaps have motives. We go out of our way to take care of our guests and any legitimate concerns. We'll just let all of the other reviews from our guests for all of our properties speak as our response. Best wishes! Steve & Angel"
Great cabin in great location for a great price.

We had a lovely experience. The cabin is cute and stocked with anything you could need. It's just minutes from Stateline. The only drawback was finding out the care takers were in the downstairs unit and having to be constantly mindful of the noise level.
Perfect Peaceful Place Left on Oct 17, 2014 for a stay in Oct 2014This location packs a punch with multiple facets making it a true gem. It is close to everything, stocked with all the things you might need (pizza cutter: recommend take-away from Basecamp Pizza Co.), and can fit a ton of people comfortably with their own private corner (two sets of grandparents, and our family including a two-year-old), while all in one cozy cabin with lots of table and counter space. You feel as though you are at a secluded retreat, even though neighbors are close, as they are behind the building, while the front looks over a vast forested yard. Some furnishings have nostalgic charm and there is only one bathroom, but these are not detractions. Rent this place and you will have a great time, the owner was especially helpful!

Great cabin- fully fully fully equipped, quiet, forested surroundings - could not ask for more! You can walk to lake but it's a bit of a hike for us older folks.
We found our home in South Lake Tahoe

I looked at many places online when we decided my family and I would rent a house. We were looking at one of the other places for rent by Steve and Angel that was already booked but they informed me that this spot was available. My family and I were so happy that we had made the right choice where to stay for our trip. The house was very cozy and clean. Steve and Angel worked with us to ensure that we were able to get the most out of our trip. My family and I will definitely be returning to our "home away from home" very soon. Even my 8yr. old said it felt like home. I would definitely advise anyone with a family or anyone looking for a nice quiet place to explore South Lake Tahoe and relax to check out this house.
Anniversary getaway Left on Aug 5, 2014 for a stay in Aug 2014As described, clean and well equipped. Convenient to local activities. All notices on bear precautions should be taken seriously, as we saw a bear checking out the dumpster at the end of driveway. Caretakers were very helpful. Overall a great experience.

We loved this very cozy cabin. This place was very neat and well maintained. The instructions were very clear. The kitchen was well stocked. But most of all we loved the cozy and comfortable attic. The booking , payment, checkout process was very smooth. The owners were very responsive to our queries. We highly recommend this cabin.
Lovely quiet retreat in a great location

We had three nights here but wished we had more. The cabin had everything you could possibly need, and we especially loved the hot tub. Although the caretaker lived downstairs, we didn't hear them or feel we weren't alone and would love to come back.
Very cozy Left on Sep 27, 2013 for a stay in Sep 20131 people found this review helpfulVery cozy little cabin. Would recommend for couples or small group....more than 4 may be crowded with only 1 bathroom, but was perfect for the 2 of us. Kitchen was big and had everything, even a ton of spices. The fireplace was awesome and the private jacuzzi was soooo wonderful!! The decor of the cabin really could be updated, especially the bedrooms and bathroom. Also, the caretakers live on the first level and there were a few times we heard them talking through the door that leads downstairs to their place. They were very nice and helpful though. Be aware that at night the motion light when coming down the outside stairs doesn't turn on until you actually reach the bottom so the stairs are not lit. I only say this because I missed the last step in the dark and fell. It was very nice eating on the outside patio and looking out to the trees. This place is sooo close to everything and we loved that!
Owner Response: Thanks for the input & stay! We have sound proofed the door & adjusted the stair light.
Yes-close to everything!

Perfect spot to be able to walk to everything & yet have the woods all around. Hiking trails across the street (up the dirt road & past the cabins). The caretakers were very helpful with ideas & info. Can't beat the price & setting.
Chicagoconvenience Left on Feb 25, 2013 for a stay in Jan 2013The location was close to town and the main gondola. The caretakers did a great job of keeping the hot tub clean and the price was affordable in comparison to other cabins.
